First Aid Certificate Course

Designed for
Persons responsible for administering first aid as required by the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Objectives
To ensure delegates are trained in first aid procedures to the prescribed legal standard leading to a certificate of proficiency. The course is lectured by fully qualified Health & Safety Executive approved instructors.
Course Content
  • The course covers the Code of Practice for Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and discusses COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and includes:
  • Introduction to first aid
  • The human body
  • Respiration
  • Dressing and bandages
  • Dealing with unconciousness
  • Bones and soft tissue
  • Transport of injured persons
  • A certificate valid three years will be issued to successful candidates.
